The horse mutilation is a gruesome story and there are rumours and speculation that it has something to do with some sort of satanic or black magic ritual. One of the pointers to this is that it happened at the time of a recent 'super-moon'.
A local fisherman, who does not wished to be named, said, "I fish more or less every day during this time of the year, before the campsite (next to Pentewan Beach) gets too busy. In fact, I was fishing from that very spot on Sunday and there was no sign of it.
Looking at it, I'm in no doubt at all that this appears to have been some sort of ritual. I have seen many carcasses of seals and dolphins washed up on the foreshore over the years and some have been mutilated as the result of propellor injuries.
This animal has no such injuries and the head seems to have been removed surgically as a clean cut.
The way the artefacts are arranged makes me shudder. I believe whoever did this is sick and needs help. It really seems like some sort of black magic ceremony has taken place."
Okay, you may say, that's just a fisherman's opinion. But note how the horse's head had been removed 'surgically' - plus there have been other horses mutilated in Cornwall this year.
Take the case, for example, of a horse named Eric.
Eric, the stallion, was found dead in a field in Stithians, Cornwall in January with horrific knife injuries to its head and body. During a barbaric attack its genitalia were cut off, an eye cut out and teeth smashed and removed.
The attack, which happened shortly after St Winebald Day - a date on the Satanic Calender for blood rituals, dismemberment and animal/human sacrifice - has prompted speculation of a ritualistic killing. Though some will say that St Winebald's Day is actually in December.
And very recently a stallion in Whitemoor, Cornwall has been attacked. Its tail was hacked off at the weekend.
Going back to the Pentewan horse there have, of course, been other main stream suggestions as to how the horse was decapitated.
One theory is that the horse died on a boat while perhaps being shipped to mainland Europe and was pushed overboard. It could therefore have been decapitated by a ship's propeller. But does that really sound feasible?
I can't say for sure as to whether any of the horses mentioned were actually mutilated during some form of ritual, but I can't see either that it can be ruled out. There are, unfortunately, sick individuals who would do these kind of things to such wonderful animals for some sort of sadistic pleasure. They will have a price to pay in due course. The Law of Karma is very real.
One more small thing connected to this story. Adjacent to Pentewan Beach is a leisure facility called the SeaHorse Centre.

It wouldn't take much for someone like this to progress to a human,I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteThey obviously have no feelings for other living things.
No feelings at all, good point about 'progressing' to a human - though hopefully not.
DeleteHow horrific but I have heard of this type of cruelty before. Frightening that this could be for a ritual. It's saddening that people could do this.
ReplyDeleteHorrific - says it all.
DeleteThis is such a sad and tragic story. It's hard to believe barbarians like this exist.
ReplyDeleteAgree entirely.
DeleteLovely place; awful incident. No other words. :/
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a lovely place which makes the incident seem ... well, I'm not sure what - as Suzie said, I suppose, 'horrific'.
