Yes I was...Your site was passed onto me by chance. <br />Yes I was involved in obtaining the cornet off ebay. yes it was the genuine article according to serial nos and presented to 31st Bn in Aug 1915. Had it restored and was fortunate that it made the journey to Fromelles to send off those battalion members who died there. Finally in October this year I presented it to the North Queensland Military Museum, Townsville as a permanent tribute to the 31st Bn members.
