Anna Laetitia Barbauld And Life

Life! we've been long together
Through pleasant and through cloudy weather;
Tis hard to part when friends are dear,
Perhaps 'twill cost a sigh, a tear.
Then steal away, give little warning.
Choose thine own time,
Say not "Good-night," but in some brighter clime,
Bid me "Good-morning."

I hope this doesn't mean that you're sneaking off the blog scene,Mike ?-)
ReplyDeleteI have actually been thinking in that direction over the last few days, wondering if it's time to move on. I probably won't though, I'll observe the signs.
DeleteI get like that too,Mike.
DeleteI was thinking of hanging the
"Gone Fishing" sign up not long ago too,but then suddenly I feel compelled to share something to the web,to someone that my be inspired by what I have to say, someone who I probably will never hear from personally.
I get the feeling that in a small way my ramblings may be helping a few people in some way to discover other bloggers and authors who have helped me and may help them as well.
If not, well it's keeping another looney (me) off the streets, and giving other readers someone to laugh at.-)
If I felt I had to post something for the sake of it,I'd get sick of it pretty quick.
The irony is that I tend to post more than once a day now, because I feel like I need to get it out there, before I forget about it.
My blog is more of a journal about my weird life of syncs,so I guess it's a little different to most blogs anyway and tends to shoot off in the directions that sync blows me,which can win or lose reader's either way.
But at the end of the day it really comes down to my interests in life that I'm writing about and I only need one interested person to participate in that process.Once that person finds the blog boring then it's all over,I guess.-)
Blogging has it's highs and lows for sure.
It would be a shame to see another good blogger close shop, but only you know what's best for Mike's life.
Whatever decision you make,as long as it comes from the heart, then you've made the right choice.
We all come to crossroads in life, and you can't go both directions at once,so choose with the heart, and all the best for what ever direction you choose to take.
Thanks!
DeleteIf either of you quits blogging, then I'm hanging up my gone fishing sign, too!
