Don't be superstitious says this New Year 1913 cartoon, not that we are of course. We're the generation who overcome the apocalypse of the 21st of December 2012. We are the survivors. Let's go out and show the world what we are made of - as we have so much to be thankful for.
Nowadays we drive better cars ...
... us men have learnt to read newspapers ...
... and women have the vote.
In 2013 we have bigger shops and stores and not just for toilets ...
...and technology is better today ...
... but, there again, house prices were much less ...
... and Reading Football Club are in the Premiership (just!)
But what the heck, it's no good looking to the past so ...
