Riding The Synchronicity Highway

birds coincidence

Some days seem to be meaningful or maybe some days we are just more tuned in to - to what? Spirituality? Synchronicity? The Universe? Ourselves? God? Not sure, but while we're pondering this I'll move on.

One morning last week Karin and I decided to go to a car boot sale. It's quite a decent sized gathering with bric-a-brac, books and the sort of stuff found at flea markets. As we left home I had this feeling that there would be a coincidence for me at the sale.

We wandered round all the cars and tables and found nothing of interest and didn't even meet anyone we knew. I was at the last but one car boot and there I saw a book called Coincidence! Needless to say I handed over my 50p and made a purchase.

I had a feeling (another one!) that Trish & Rob had mentioned this book on their blog synchrosecrets. When I got home I checked this and found the post mentioning the book - it was called Coincidence. I suppose it had to be really!

I also thought that part of the cover of the book looked familiar as there is a similar design in a book I'm reading, The Opening Of The Third Eye by Dr Douglas Baker - see image at top of post.

Synchronicity Highway
Later that day I had a small package delivered and it just happened to be Trish & Rob's new book The Synchronicity Highway. So the bits and pieces of the day seemed to be linking up. Especially when I opened up their book to page 67 - I often do this with books as the number has been important in my life, along with 76.

Anyway, on page 67 is my name, Mike Perry, and also Karin, my wife, is given a mention. Trish and Rob have included a doppelganger experience I had a while back.

And that's really how the day continued the bits of the 'jigsaw' all fitted together nicely leading on to something else - a continuation of links. It was definitely one of those days where I was tuned in to - well, whatever you decided it is.

Aren't those things all one and the same thing, anyway Mike ?
And regarding," and that's really how the day continued the bits of the 'jigsaw' all fitted together nicely leading on to something else - a continuation of links.'
Isn't that what synchronicity is about ? A guiding mechanism that changes the life your life would have headed in if that sync had not have occurred ?
For instance, what would your life be like now,if you wouldn't have found that book at the flea market? What would my life be like now, because I wouldn't have read this post ? What would any reader of this blog be doing now if this story wasn't here to read ? It is one big mind-boggling ripple effect if you really think about it.
Imagine your coincidence book encounter as the first domino in this clip -
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QtdPfz_faM
and the possible knock on effect it could have throughout the internet and those who come into direct or indirect contact with people whose lives were slightly changed by the ripple that your sync caused.
It may sound far fetched comparing it to all those dominoes falling by being effected by that first one falling domino...but is it ?
Something else for you to ponder at the end of your day
    Mike. ;-)

    1. They are at the least parts of the 'whole'. Sometimes I like to pose a question in a post :-)

You are absolutely right about the ripple / domino effect. You write that and what I have I just been doing with Sammy, my three year old grandson (for the first time)? Yes, I had the dominoes out and was showing him how it's possible to knock them all over with one gentle push.

As you indicate we all have an influence with whatever we do, whether we realise this or not. I suppose we should try to ensure that whatever we do is for the good of the 'whole', but that's easier said than done.

I always enjoy these sort of posts, thanks Mike. I seem to have fallen off the 'Highway' recently.

  3. One big synchro coming here today! Thanks for the mention, Mike. Suzie - I don't think anyone can really fall off the highway. We're surrounded by these connections, It's mostly about being aware of them.
