Steam Packet Chancellor Livingston 1817 |
I came across the old print of the Steam Packet Chancellor Livingston (as above) recently. It states: "Built from plans drawn by Fulton for a corporation that held a monopoly of the waters of New York state for the use of steam propelled vessels."
I wasn't too sure what the photo above was all about but my Google+ friend Thex Dar thought it was a Halloween picture. He then went to the trouble of getting a selection of such photos and turned them into a video for me, which can be seen here.

Love these vintage photos! The one with the baby and the razor...strange!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a thing about vintage photos - a whole different era.
DeleteMike - my goodness - that video - and we think Halloween costumes of today are scary? These gave me the creeps, completely!!! Some of the photos will be in my head for the rest of the day, and hopefully not longer!
ReplyDeleteI agree - the baby in the ad in seriously insane.
They are a bit weird and, as for the Gillette ad - how could they do that!
