Place Your Cosmic Order For Whatever You Want

The newspaper I often read has an astrology column. I'm not much into these sort of predictions as they are too general - unless, of course, it's good news, then I become a believer! Mainly because I think we attract what we believe and visualise.

I looked at my Cancer star sign a couple of days ago - I'm actually on the cusp being born on July 23rd, and some readings put me into Leo. That's not really important because the reading could be applicable to anyone. This is what it reads:

"Cosmic Ordering? It is just what the doctor ordered. The Secret? Everyone should know about it! The Law of Attraction? More reliable than the law of gravity! Another, less fashionable word for all this is 'prayer'. Never mind to whom or to what, just make contact with the power that put you here. Sincerely request help and support. Then don't be too fussy about the particular form this must take. Sometimes the cosmos has a smarter idea of what' needed than we have. This will be a good weekend"

What the writer has said almost sums up what I believe: ask and we get, but put no restrictions on how this should come to us. The Universe does indeed work in mysterious ways, so don't hamper it by laying down limitations.

Give out thoughts and pictures of what you want and be amazed at the way, whatever it is actually arrives - how it does so isn't of concern. Just believe that it will happen to the good to all concerned.

Simplistic? Probably, but who said life has to be difficult?

Signs And Meaning To The Moon And Jupiter

Symbols, signs, synchronicity: they all depend on what is meaningful to us personally and how we interpret them. It's not something that can be found in books - though they can be a guide - instead, it's what we feel deep inside.

Others may laugh and mock at our interpretations, but that's okay, people will often ridicule what they don't understand or don't want to understand. The fact is that - if we think we've had some sort of message or guidance via symbols, signs or synchronicity - then we probably have.

If it's good news enjoy it, if it's not so good go careful.

On Christmas eve Karin and I were talking about people we had lost over the years, and how they had been involved with our enjoyment of the festive time: my dad and mum, Janice, Karin's mother and so on.

As Karin made her way upstairs to bed I said something about how good it would be if there was some sort of sign that they were watching down on us. Not sure why 'down', when there is no right way up or down, but there we go.

I went to lock our front door and for some reason stepped outside into the damp, cold air. I looked up and the moon looked so different from usual, it almost had a halo and I smiled to myself that our lost family were looking down on us.

There was also a star to the left of the moon that was extra bright. I took a few snaps with my camera, they weren't too good without a strong zoom but they did show an orb in a couple of the photos - well, maybe.

I later learned that the bright star was in fact the planet Jupiter. I also read that this would be entering my astrology sign in June of 2013 and that this will bring an 'emotional attachment to home and family.'

The small piece I read on the Internet also said that, 'this might be a good time to start researching the family tree and find out about your roots.' I actually mentioned in a post a few days ago, The Biggest Coincidence There Has Ever Been, that I had just started to do this. I even published a photo an ancestor.

I guess what I'm trying to say, in a roundabout way, is that how the moon and Jupiter looked on Christmas eve was meaningful to me - no matter what others may think. And this is the what I was on about at the beginning of this post about symbols, signs and synchronicity: it's the feeling of their meaningfulness that's important.

Wonder what or who told me step outside on Christmas eve? But, whatever, we had a wonderful Christmas and everything was perfect.

Get Born On March 23 To Be a Great Olympian Or Sports Person

"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen ... "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
I've never believed those horoscopes that you read in newspapers and magazines - unless they forecast something good! But in saying that I have noticed how some people born under certain sun signs do have similar traits.

What made me think of this again was a small newspaper cutting I clipped recently following the Olympic Games. This is what was said - but I'd better add that this was in a UK paper and therefore biased to us Brits.

"I'm not a great believer in star-signs but wonder what to make of the fact that Roger Banister (the first man to run a four-minute mile), Olympians Steve Redgrave, Chris Hoy and Mo Farrah, as well as British speed record breaker Donald Campbell all share the same Aries birthday of March 23."

I wondered, therefore, if March 23rd is a good day to be born if you want to be a sports star. So I went to Wikipedia to see some famous births for that date.  There are 73 listed births from 1960 onwards and 41 of these are famous worldwide sports people - 56%!

Okay, Wikipedia is far from perfect for many reasons but it's an impressive statistic. Okay - again - it's nothing scientific and many will say is therefore meaningless.

But, whatever, when we observe people there does seem to be varying categories. How often have we said that so-and-so looks like someone else. If this is down purely to star signs is debatable but sometimes, even though I have minimum knowledge of the subject, I will pick out someone as a typical Leo, Aries and so on.

In the 70s someone gave me Linda Goodman's Sun Signs. I still have the book and flitted through the Aries section, applicable to someone born on March 23rd. I read:

"... his Mars horns are hard, and tough to crack ... His metal is iron and its unbeatable strength gives him nine times as many lives to live as others; nine times as many chances of winning the battle."

And those are surely the requirements of an Olympian or top sports person - and, being able to believe in 'impossible things before breakfast' of course.
