Visualisation Helped Him Escape from A WW2 Prison Camp To Wilshire Boulevard

Wilshire Boulevard postcard

Popular self-help books are always on about using visualisation techniques to attract the things we desire. True enough, they can work. As that song goes, "If you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?"

Visualising and concentrating on something, however, can be something more than this. In The Power of Your Subconscious Mind Joseph Murphy gives a significant account which led to several coincidences or synchronicity, this follows but in my own words:

Russian soldiers WW2 moving corpsesVisualisation helped a Dr. Lothar von Blenk-Schmidt to save his sanity during his imprisonment by the Russians in world war 2. The doctor had previously been an electronics engineer but was now forced to labour in coal mines, having to shift something like 300 pounds a day. If prisoners failed to do their quota they had their food rations cut.

To relieve his despair he began to concentrate on his escape to America, determined that his subconscious mind would find a way. He wrote. "I would imagine I was walking down Wilshire Boulevard with an American girl whom I met in Berlin prior to the war."

In his imagination he drove his imaginary American automobile up and down the boulevards of Los Angeles, saw himself in restaurants and made his vision highly and vividly detailed. As he said, "These pictures in my mind were as real and natural to me as the trees outside the prison camp."

This dreaming gave him hope and helped to retain his sanity and strength during difficult times.

Then an odd sequence of events occurred. One morning, after shouting out his number the guard was called away. When the guard returned he repeated the same number, and the next man stepped forward. Blenk-Schmidt realised there were now two number 17s on the list and he would not be missed.

With good fortune on his side he managed to walk out of the camp undetected. First he survived by fishing and hunting wild fowl and later hitched rides at night on coal trains heading for Poland. Once there he was helped by friends and eventually reached Lucerne in neutral Switzerland.

At the Palace Hotel he met an American who invited him to be his guest in Santa Monica, California. This led to his dream coming true, down to the last detail, even to an American wife - the identical girl he had met in Berlin prior to the war! When he first arrived in Los Angeles he described how the chauffeur of the man he befriended drove him down Wilshire Boulevard just as he had imagined while in the Russian camp.

Dreams really can come true.

An Abundance Of Five Brooms Coincidence

Four garden brooms

This coincidence happened a while back, but it still makes me smile.

My wife said that she thought we needed a new broom for sweeping our outside paths. Me, being me, said, "What's wrong with the two that we have?" They seemed okay to me, I'd only used them a couple of days previously.

Anyway, to keep it short, I was wrong! We needed a new broom. "I'll conjure one up." I laughed.

Two days later we set off for a walk from home. We have several routes that give us a three to four mile journey. We decided on which one we would do and set off, with not a mention or a thought of a broom.

We walked about a quarter of a mile and passed a house, where the owner was clearing out unwanted bits and pieces. Most of this he had thrown into a rubbish skip but, against the wall, with a sign which read: 'Please take away for free', were five brand new brooms!

We stopped and the man saw us looking. "Is it okay if we take one," I asked.

"I'd rather you took all of them," he answered and told us how he was clearing out his garage and sheds of everything he no longer needed.

So, suddenly we were the 'proud' owners of five brand new brooms (labels still on them - they had to be assembled) - just as my wife wanted. I know there are only four in the photo but we have already given one away to our son.

When things like this happen it always amuses me. My wife wanted a broom and got five! As it says in St.Luke: "... and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over ..."

I'm not into any organised religion but there are, what I see as 'truths', within the Bible

I think I've probably written something similar previously, but it seems that when we want something in a light hearted way, not really bothering if it comes about or not - it often appears.

This appears to be one of the secrets of visualisation: Picture what it is we want, release the matrix and then forget all about it. A little while later, perhaps depending on how clear the picture created, the object arrives.

As St.Paul is quoted as saying, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatever a man soweth that shall he reap." But personally I reckon the universe has a sense of humour, we just have to be careful what we ask for.

What We Give Out, We Get Back - But Not Always Exactly As We Want

Bugs in lingerie drawer

There was a woman who, when things annoyed her, would always say, "That really bugs me." One day she found the chest of drawers, where she kept some of her delicate clothes, infested with small beetles. A coincidence?

A man called Clive wanted some goldfish in a large glass bowl for his living room and - as he had read a little about the power of the mind - started demanding a bowl of fish from the universe. A few days later a neighbour dropped in to see him carrying a plastic bowl with some fish he had caught that day. "Do you want some of these fish as I won't be able eat them all?" he asked. Another coincidence?

In a way both of these people got what they asked for. Okay it wasn't exactly what they had in mind but whose fault was that?

As with everything we give out eventually it returns, either to smooth our path or slap us in the face. Words and what we say are important and it's not just a case of being negative or positive.

Florence Scovel-Shin in her book The Game of Life And How To Play It writes about how she saw some beautiful rose trees in the florist's window and set about requesting one.

Easter came, and with it a perfect rose tree from a friend as a gift. She phoned to say thank you and told her that it was exactly what she wanted.

Her friend replied, "I didn't send you a rose tree, I sent you lilies!"

The man at the florist had mixed up the order and Florence writes, "He sent me a rose tree simply because I had started the law in action, and I had to have a rose tree."

She also concludes that, "When man can wish without worrying every desire will be instantly fulfilled."

It's perhaps why we have to be careful what we say on a regular basis. If, for instance, we keep saying something or someone is a pain in the a*** it could well become one!

Parents don't always choose their words wisely (unintentionally, of course). "Don't go out without a jacket, you'll catch a cold," or, "Be careful, you'll fall." Atishoo and ouch may follow.

We are surrounded by influences from other people, the media, television and so on. I guess we have to try and make sure that our own words equate to exactly what we really want for ourselves and also what we want for our family, friends and the world in general.

Getting Drenched With Water Was A Pleasure - Coincidence

Mountains of Spain

Not sure what made me remember this - the time I attracted water when I didn't have any! Though you'll probably say it was just a coincidence.

We were in the south of Spain on holiday (my son was 10 or 11, so it was a while back!). We set off in a small hired car up into the mountains. I can't remember exactly where we were headed but the roads became narrower and narrower as we went higher and higher. We hadn't seen another car or vehicle for over an hour ... then our car suddenly decided to grind to a halt.

Luckily there was a space where we could pull over, opposite was a sheer drop. The car had overheated and the radiator was empty. I wasn't too sure what to do. We needed water to fill the radiator and I then figured we could just about turn round and head back to civilisation.

Only problem was the mountains were completely parched and it was very hot. I went off for a walk to try and find some water, perhaps a small stream but no such luck. There was nothing about and no villages for many miles according to the map.

Strangely I felt very relaxed about the situation. I went off again in the other direction and after a few hundred yards sat on a big rock looking at the wonderful view. I then started to think about water - lots of it, gushing everywhere and asked - I'm not sure who - to help me.

I wandered back to the car and my wife and son were getting quite anxious. I told them not to worry as we'd get some water soon. Not sure if I believed this fully, especially when asked, "Yes, but how?"

Moments later a lorry was coming down the road towards us. The first vehicle we had seen for ages and ages. The lorry pulled up and the driver said something or other. I don't speak Spanish so, with hand signals and random words, I indicated that we wanted water.

It was then I noticed the back of the lorry held a big circular tank and, yes, it was filled with water!

The driver beckoned me to the back of the lorry and I stood there with a small bucket he had given me. He turned a handle at the back of the drum and suddenly a powerful jet of water gushed all over me and virtually knocked me over. I was drenched from head to toe but couldn't help but laugh - as did my wife and son.

To cut a long story short the lorry had been delivering water to some of the small homesteads high in the mountains. Our car engine cooled, I filled up the radiator with water (plus a bottle for emergencies), just about turned the car round - though very apprehensive of the sheer drop - and then slowly drove down the mountain until finally we reached where we were staying on the coast.

My 'request' for water gushing everywhere certainly came true. It was as if the universe - or whoever, whatever - was playfully saying, "So you wanted water ... I'll give you water!"

Some will say that the lorry was heading in my direction anyway, but to me - and the way it felt at the time - it was like my request had been granted.

"Ask and it will be given to you ..."
"If you don't ask, you don't get ..."

Or any other quotes you can think of!

Divine Intervention Through Casting The Burden - Or Perhaps Not!

Casting the burden

To many this will sound bonkers.

My car went in for an annual service and I was told it needed a new battery. I agreed, and this was replaced. Problem was that, by disconnecting the battery, this affected other things. It was all righted, except for the car radio, which would no longer work.

To correct this the mechanic needed the radio code, unique to my radio. He thought he had the right number, but whatever he did the radio wouldn't make a sound. The assumption being that the code was wrong.

But, no easy job getting the right code. I'd have to travel to the car's main dealer, with proof of ownership, and then they would obtain the code by attaching a special computer - not the normal diagnostic computer that car service mechanics use.

I didn't really want to do this and waste a day, but accepted I'd have to do what I was told (for a change). I tried entering the code myself, by following the instructions in the car radio manual, but it wouldn't work. Worse still, if you get it wrong once, you can't try again for at least an hour - supposedly for security reasons.

I was a bit narked, but that evening I picked up a book from the mountain in my office, opened it up and it was telling how, if you have a problem, you should "cast the burden". By this it means that problems aren't ours, they belong to the universe to solve. Okay, I said this would sound bonkers to many people!

Anyway, that night, I cast the problem of my car radio onto the universe by saying that I believed the answer would come as to how I could get the radio working again, without a trip to the main dealer.

Next morning I read my horoscope in the newspaper (something I don't normally do). It read: "You have to trust that you know what you know and you know what to do. Even if the solution to a problem doesn't seem immediately obvious to you, the right way forward will reveal itself just at the moment when you most feel in greatest need of guidance." This made me smile.

After I'd read this we had to go to the supermarket - not something I enjoy - and we parked as near as possible as it was raining. My wife got out of the car, but for some inexplicable reason I stayed where I was and fed the code number into the radio, But, instead of following the procedure stated in the handbook, I pushed other buttons as well. There was a glare from my wife - she was getting wet in the rain!

But then magically the radio started to play! Somehow I had got the radio working again - goodness knows how. I certainly didn't do what the manual said.

So - divine intervention, coincidence or pure luck?

Whatever, it pleased my wife, despite the rain, and I'd earned myself a few brownie points!

Positive Thinking Creates An Aluminium Ladder!

A 20 foot aluminium ladder by positive thinking

The power of positive thinking or visualisation - does it work? Here's a story which illustrates that it does. Though many will simply write it off as a 'coincidence'.

Pete Leeder had been doing some outside work on his house and realised he needed a ladder, preferably a 20 foot aluminium ladder.

Although he had most tools in his well stocked workshop, the one thing he didn't have was a 20 foot aluminium ladder. Neither did any of his near neighbours. So he drove to the local hardware store - and no, they didn't have one either.

At that point, Leeder decided to utilise the old psychic powers of the mind and zero in on the subject of ladders and his need and desire for one. Meanwhile, from the hardware store, he drove to meet his wife where she worked. During this drive he was thinking about how he could secure the ladder to the car once he had 'achieved' one.

He remembered there were some heavy ropes in the car trunk so he figured he would tie them to the ladder and then run the ends through the open windows of the car and tie them securely inside. Working on this problem kept his mind constantly on the subject of the ladder need.

Having collected his wife, Leeder now began his drive home but, instead of going the usual way, found himself taking a different route entirely. Part of the route was along a road where there were few houses and little development, so consequently there were few pedestrians and hardly any traffic.

Only two people were walking along that particular stretch of road, and they happened to be boys about 12. Between them they were carrying a ladder, a 20 foot aluminium ladder!

To his wife's surprise, Leeder pulled up alongside them and asked them where they were going.

"We've got a treehouse in the ravine down there," said one. "This is going to be part of the structure.".

"Is it your ladder?" asked Leeder..

"Sure it is," replied the boy. "My pop's in construction but he could've been killed the other day when his metal ladder went near some overhead cables. He got himself a new wooden one and said we could have this one.".

"Want to sell it?" asked Leeder..

"How much?" responded the boy.

"Ten bucks," said Leeder..

"Done," said the boy..

Leeder handed over the money, went to the trunk, got out the heavy rope and put his prepared ladder-tying-up plan into action. It worked. The boys happily pocketed the windfall and Leeder drove home with his ladder..

All in all his positive thinking resulted in fulfilment in just 45 minutes.

I know many ridicule visualisation and positive thinking, or whatever you want to call it but it does work - even for finding a car parking space! See my post How To Get A Car Parking Space Using Coincidences. If you can create a parking space then why not, well anything!

Subliminal Messages To Get What You Want

Subliminal book

A not too serious post today!

In my younger years I was interested more in possessions and money than I am today. So I tried many of those 'visualisation' and 'power of the mind' techniques. Some were quite cranky, when I now look back, but the funny thing is some of them did seem to work.

I don't know why, but the following method, based on subliminal images, came to mind as I was walking yesterday.

As you'll no doubt know the first use of subliminal images was supposedly in American cinemas. A message, such as 'I must buy an ice-cream', was flashed on the screen during a movie. The result was that ice-cream sales rocketed in the interval. This sort of thing is mostly now illegal (unless it's done by the state!).

I digress, what I remembered, was a simple (silly?) method to influence our own minds to do something or attract something / someone. The message? Anything from 'I will attract a new car' to 'I will lose weight' - absolutely anything.

But how to get the message across to the unconscious in a simple way is normally difficult bit. This method though was easy.

Remember how movie cartoons used to be made? The figure would be drawn and then in each following frame the figure would be slightly altered. When all of the frames were run quickly in succession it looked like the figure was moving.

So the idea is to take a paperback book and print your message or symbols on the top right hand corner of the pages - one word only per page, perhaps leaving a couple of blank pages between the words. Then all you have to do is flick through the pages. You won't necessarily 'see' the message but your unconscious supposedly will.

It's then a case of having a flick through the pages several times a day - not trying to read anything - but just look as the pages flick past your vision. The theory is that the message / symbols will have an effect and you'll attract that amount of money, new car or will lose weight or whatever.

Okay, maybe silly - but is it? Could it be developed to be included in a video, for example, so you almost brainwash yourself into becoming more confident or lucky or ... your choice.

As I said, I remembered this from many years ago - and what I wanted came about. I was very young at the time and it had something to do with a girl. But enough said!

The Magic Ingredient That Brings Us Our Desires

Visualisation - the secret ingredient

Much has been written about visualisation and how this can bring about the things we desire into our lives. People have made a lot of money telling other people the 'secrets' of doing this. Showing people how to do stuff equates to big money, but I digress.

Visualisation or some would call it the Law of Mind, the Law of Cause and Effect, the Law of Opulence and so on but, however you dress it up, there is only one magic ingredient needed - at least that's what I believe to be the case.

I don't normally quote the Bible but Jesus got it right! He said that when we ask God  for anything we must believe that we already have the thing we are asking for. For God you can substitute the word Universe or anything else you regard as the source of everything.

And the magic ingredient that brings about our desires? We have to accept the thing we desire before we can experience it.

I was thinking along these lines and decided to put the library angel to work, so went to my many books and chose one at random. I opened up the Practical Application Of Science Of Mind and this is what I read:

"... for unless we accept it we are rejecting it; and if we are rejecting it we are not believing that we have it; and while we believe that we do not have it the Law cannot make a gift.

Hence, we are told to believe that we already possess the object of our desire, and so should make known our request with thanksgiving. A little thought given to this idea will demonstrate that there is no other way prayer could be answered, there is no way a demonstration could be made.

... we draw this one and inevitable conclusion: When a spiritual mind treatment is given it must incorporate an affirmative acceptance of the fulfilment of the desired good; it must state that we already have that good.

So there we have it - easy! But it's not of course. It's easier said than done and that's why it's best to start small with our demands and desires and gradually build up to bigger and bigger things. Pretty much the same as if we wanted to build our muscles to lift heavy weights. It has to be done gradually to build confidence and strength.

Confidence + strength = belief.

All things are possible: happiness, love, money, peace of mind ... if we can believe that we already have happiness, love, money, peace of mind and so on.

Oh, and conversely if we believe we already have sadness, hate, poverty, sickness then ... well you get the picture.

Roman Britain And The Magic Of Synchronicity

Picts attacking Hadrian's Wall

I know I've said something like this before but it's interesting how the universe helps us when we start looking for, or researching something. It can be quite magical how a book opens up at a specific page or the information will be seen on television or in a newspaper or by a myriad of other ways. I've read that Trish and Rob call this, in respect of books, the library angel.

Sometimes the information comes all by itself but at others it's necessary to put in a request. As I wrote a while back:

"I still remember the very first time I tried to find an answer to a question via asking the universe (or whatever you may prefer to call it). It was as a very young man and I'd read about mind power for the very first time. I tested out getting an answer and chose a bit of a silly question.

I asked the universe how high Mount Everest was. This was way before the Internet but I could have looked this up in an encyclopaedia or something similar. I decided, however, to wait for the 'magical' answer.

The next day the newsagent didn't have my normal daily newspaper so I chose a different one at random. I got to my then desk at work, opened the newspaper up, and there in front of me was an article about someone climbing Everest. It also gave the height of the mountain (29,035 ft)."

Since then I've been in the habit of asking, as the Bible states, "Ask, and it shall be given you."

Recently I had a strange example of this. I had been researching the Roman occupation in Great Britain for something I was writing. That evening I had a feeling I should open a large case I have with books and other bits and pieces from when I was child.

I hadn't opened it for a long time but right on top was a book with the title The Story of Prehistoric and Roman Britain. This provided me with most of the information I wanted.

But here's the strangest bit the next morning there was a letter pushed through my door from a neighbour. Here's the beginning of the letter:

Neighbour's letter about the Romans

As you can probably read it starts off: "History. When the Roman's came to G.B. they built Hadrian's Wall ..."

The gentleman has never sent me a letter before and he doesn't know about this blog or that I was wanting information about the Romans. As you will see he goes on to recommend I watch a television programme on the subject.

I find that amazing! What possessed him to tell me about the Romans? It's more than a simple coincidence. As it's meaningful it's definitely synchronicity in action. There's even a picture in my book of Hadrian's Wall as mentioned by my neighbour.

Beware, people can do the unexpected once synchronicity weaves it's web!

The Power Of Synchronicity In Mallorca

Hotel swimming pool Mallorca
Hotel where we stayed in Mallorca
On Tuesday I mentioned how health things improved while on our holiday in Mallorca, partly because of a complete blackout of news. But this also seemed to heighten other senses - in a small way.

For example, we thought of visiting a town a distance away from where we were based.  We were discussing this while walking along the promenade by the sea. I said something like, "Shall we go or not?" to Karin. At that very moment we passed a small restaurant and the first thing I heard was, "Don't."

They were actually playing the very old Elvis Presley song Don't. As regular readers may know I'm quite a fan of early Elvis music.

I took Elvis' advice and we didn't go, which was just as well. Later there was an almighty storm: thunder, lightening and torrential rain. Quite unusual for Mallorca at this time of year - but the next day it was back to sunshine.

So it's worth adhering to the signs!

Rain in Mallorca
The rain and storm we missed thanks to Elvis and Don't
Also other little things happened. I decided that I wanted another pillow at the hotel where we were staying. As I was thinking about this the maid (I dislike that word) knocked on the door and asked if she could make up our beds.

We sat on the balcony while she did whatever it was she had to do. As she finished she was about to say adiΓ³s, when out of the blue she asked if I'd like another pillow!

As these sort of things were popping up I tried to make something similar happen. We went off on an open topped, double decker bus along the coast. I thought how nice it would be, on the way back, to sit at the very front. That way there would be good views and perhaps some photo opportunities.

On the return journey there were a lot of people at the bus stop and Karin said, "I don't think we'll get a front seat." As we went upstairs it appeared she was right. Both of the double front seats were taken. One of them by a man sitting by himself. So we sat down in a mid positioned seat. Then, before the bus started it's journey, the man got up and for some reason transferred himself to another seat. I waited a moment or two, no one else moved, so we were able to have the very seat we wanted!

I won't bore you with lots more examples but there are definitely times, when the mood and circumstances are right, we can accomplish many things - with the help of the universe!

Okay, one more strange thing - sorry! On the outward flight to Mallorca we handed our luggage over and made our way to passports and the other checks. Karin then remembered she had a small pair of scissors in her cabin luggage - a complete no-no nowadays so she had to dispose of the scissors before we got to the x-ray and scanner thingies. She was a bit upset as they originally belonged to her mother and had sentimental value.

"Hope Oma doesn't mind," Karin said. (Karin was born in Germany and always called her mother Oma. It really means grandmother).

When we arrived in Mallorca we stopped at a cafΓ© for coffee. With the coffee they gave us some biscuits.

Karin said, "You won't believe this, but they taste exactly the same as Oma used to make when I was little." A message, coincidence, synchronicity? Whatever, but it does make you wonder about life.

In The History and Power of Mind Richard Ingalese writes:

"If you can demonstrate a piece of carpet three feet long you can demonstrate a million dollars. If you can cure a headache you can cure in the course of time any disease; if you can demonstrate a seat in the street car you can demonstrate a seat in congress, in  time. If you can be happy a week you can be happy for a lifetime, because what you have done in a small degree can, with persistency, be done in a large degree."

Recipe For Attracting $10,000 And In Doing So Also Avoiding Cyclones

Thinking and visualising

I realise that I'm often prattling on about white feathers - but, regardless, I'll start with them again today.

Last Saturday was my grandson's third birthday. He's very special to me and before we set off to see him I was idly wondering what my own parents would make of him. Sadly they both died before he was born.

This was going through my mind when Karin said (at long last!) that she was ready to go and see Samuel. We opened our front door, which leads to a porch and there on the door mat was a fluffy white feather. A coincidence, a lot of people will say. But for me it felt like a symbol from my parents.

We left the feather in place and set off to the birthday boy.

The next day, Sunday, my son and daughter-in-law were holding a party for Sammy in a local hall. I think he's got more friends than Karin and I have put together! As we left the white feather was still lying peacefully on the mat in the porch.

On returning home, with the festivities over, the white feather was gone.

Okay, now moving on. Yesterday Karin said how we hadn't seen or heard from a couple we know for ages and ages. Later in the day we were walking to town and there they were coming towards us. They said they had been thinking about us too and how we must get together soon.

There is a reason for these unrelated snippits.

Karin went to the shops for something and 'by chance' met an old dressmaking client of hers. She hadn't seen her for, maybe as much as six months. The woman said, words to the effect of, "How funny I should see you as I was going to phone you later today."

So three incidents and they have one thing in common. Yes they were - what shall we call it? Paranormal, synchronicity, telepathy? Well, it doesn't matter what it is, the point is that 'magical' things happen when we don't try too hard. A throw away thought, of no apparent strength can make things happen.

Sometimes in life we tend to put in too much effort, too intensely, to make something happen. When really we need to take the more relaxed approach.

One of the first occult books that really meant something to me was The History and Power of Mind by Richard Ingalese, written in about 1902. It's somewhat dated now but the author in one of the chapters mentions the Law of Opulence and how we can attract wealth and money. One of his rules for success was not to visualise the things we wish for too forcefully. He even says to do so is dangerous, and he gives and example of this:

"There was a student of Occultism ... who had met several misfortunes. Disasters followed each other till everything he had on the material plane was swept away. But he possessed a great deal of force, and knowing how to make demands for what he wanted he commenced to make new creations.

"He demanded ten thousand dollars, which to him was financial opulence. The demand was not met immediately, and the young man became impatient and finally angry. When he wakened one morning to find himself without money to pay for his breakfast, he walked to the park, threw himself on the ground, and lay there for several hours with his teeth set, hands clenched and with perspiration standing out all over his body, so intense was his excitement while making his demand for the money he had pictured.

"The next day he managed to board a freight train and, after the usual delays and inconveniences upon transport of that kind, the student of Occultism managed to reach a Western town. But he had no sooner entered the place than a cyclone came along and swept it off the face of the earth.

"When the young man of the violent demands came to consciousness he was lying on the ground some distance from the place where he was at the last moment of his recollections. His body was a mass of bruises, and when he tried to rise to his feet he found one leg broken. Bodies of dead animals and men lay all around him, and wagon loads of debris were strewn in all directions; but just within reach of his arm lay a plethoric wallet.

"The young man reached his best arm out and got the wallet and immediately examined the contents. There were just ten one-thousand-dollar bills in it and not a scrap of paper or a card to tell whom it belonged. ...

Please do not understand me to say that the young Occult student's violent demand created the cyclone, because he had nothing to do with the creation. But the student was drawn into the cyclone, and suffered the horrors of it, because of his own tempestuous mental condition when making the demand, which had to be met after the manner it was made."

Ingalese's example is way removed from my original stories at the beginning of the post but the message is similar. We don't have to try too hard to create creations of any kind - relaxed, sometimes does the trick without us even realising it.

Of course, if we want to create $10,000 we have to put in some effort but only in making an accurate mental image of what we are demanding. And it's probably just as well to throw in a good dash of belief as well.

How Cosmic Ordering Worked For Noel Edmonds

I recently published a post titled Place Your Cosmic Order For Whatever You Want. Today, when flitting through the Daily Mail newspaper, I saw an article about the UK television presenter Noel Edmonds and how he reckons Cosmic Ordering worked for him.

About seven years ago Edmonds lost his job with the BBC and was in the middle of a painful divorce - he had to sell his large home in Devon. But he claims to have overcome his problems with the help of Cosmic Ordering. He placed three main wishes (or cosmic orders): a home in the sun, a new career and a female companion to make him laugh and make him happy.

As Noel explained, "You have to pick yourself up and think: Right what's the next stage? What's the next chapter going to be? Some people stare at the moon and others the ocean. I wrote down the things I really wanted in life."

When he tried to tell friends and people in general about the idea of Cosmic Ordering the common reaction was mocking laughter with the assumption that he'd lost his marbles - but he has had the last laugh.

He waited, as you must, for the Cosmos to fulfil his order and, sure enough, his wishes came about.

Noel & Liz Edmonds
Today he has a house in the South of France, as well as a Georgian home near Bristol, a presenting job for Channel 4's Deal or No Deal, which has resurrected his television career and, yes, he's also got a lovely wife called Liz who makes him laugh.

Noel tells of how he remembers the very minute Liz came into his life:

"It was October 6, 2006 at 11 am," he remembers. "Liz was a freelance make-up artist working for the department at Endemol. When she came into my dressing room, I knew she was there before I turned round. I don't know what you call it - positive energy or whatever. All I remember turning round and thinking, 'There you are at last. There you are.'"

Liz felt the same magic moment. "As soon as we met - you know, you see it in the movies and read about it - I can't explain it. When I look back it was a kind of madness, but the madness felt right."

The couple are now married.

Noel Edmonds' Cosmic Order is complete but he still carries the piece of paper in his wallet with his three wishes - a reminder perhaps of how magical life can be.

If you don't ask you don't get.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

Place Your Cosmic Order For Whatever You Want

Steps to success and wealth

Cancer astrology
The newspaper I often read has an astrology column. I'm not much into these sort of predictions as they are too general - unless, of course, it's good news, then I become a believer! Mainly because I think we attract what we believe and visualise.

I looked at my Cancer star sign a couple of days ago - I'm actually on the cusp being born on July 23rd, and some readings put me into Leo. That's not really important because the reading could be applicable to anyone. This is what it reads:

"Cosmic Ordering? It is just what the doctor ordered. The Secret? Everyone should know about it! The Law of Attraction? More reliable than the law of gravity! Another, less fashionable word for all this is 'prayer'. Never mind to whom or to what, just make contact with the power that put you here. Sincerely request help and support. Then don't be too fussy about the particular form this must take. Sometimes the cosmos has a smarter idea of what' needed than we have. This will be a good weekend"

What the writer has said almost sums up what I believe: ask and we get, but put no restrictions on how this should come to us. The Universe does indeed work in mysterious ways, so don't hamper it by laying down limitations.

Give out thoughts and pictures of what you want and be amazed at the way, whatever it is actually arrives - how it does so isn't of concern. Just believe that it will happen to the good to all concerned.

Simplistic? Probably, but who said life has to be difficult?

Top Ten Regrets In Life

Regrets, I've had a few

Regrets, I've had a few but, then again, too few to mention.

It appears that most of us have regrets and we supposedly spend more than two hours every week dwelling on them.

TOP TEN REGRETS
(1) Not travelling more
(2) Losing touch with pals
(3) Not exercising enough
(4) Not saving more money
(5) Taking up smoking
(6) Being lazy as school
(7) Choice of career
(8) Wasting years with wrong partner
(9) Eating unhealthily
(10) Not asking more about our grandparents' lives before they died
Yes, it's another study, this time by the British Heart Foundation.

Dr Gayle Brewer of the University of Central Lancaster School of Psychology said about this, "There seems to be a certain air of resignation amongst us that living out our dreams may simply not be possible for a variety of reasons."

I don't know what you think but I find this a little sad.

The list of the Top Ten Regrets is shown on the right.

Our main excuse (33% of study) for not completing our dreams is a lack of cash holding us back. 25% feel it's loved ones stifling our ambitions but 32% are honest enough to say that it's their own lack of courage that's the downfall.

It's interesting that a quarter of the study participants did not believe it was possible to live life without regrets - and that's why we waste 19 minutes per day thinking about things we could have done differently.

Maybe our ambitions are set too high as the survey also revealed that the number one goal on our 'to do list' is winning the lottery! And that has odds of 14,000,000 to 1 against is doing this.

Looks like, if we are typical of the study, we need to change the way we see things. Everything is possible but, as Henry Ford said, "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Receiving Jewels And Other Gifts From The Invisible World

Jewels found with a tele-transporter

When I was much younger I liked to experiment with mind and psychic powers, telepathy, precognition and all sorts of similar stuff. My motto was 'If you don't try, you don't know.'

Instead of saying something was crazy or stupid I'd have a go - which took me down some strange paths.

One I remembered this morning was using a tele-transporter. My reminder was the two 'jewels' pictured in the photo above.

I'll tell you what this is all about if you promise not to laugh or mock!

I read about the tele-transporter in a book, the title of which or the author, is long forgotten.

You have to make this important piece of equipment yourself out of a sheet of card. You simply curl up the card to make the funnel like creation as I've tried to sketch below. And that is your fully formed tele-transporter!

tele-transporter

With this you can get in touch with the invisible world where all things are possible.

The book I read suggested readers should start off by requesting jewellery or diamonds from the aforementioned invisible world.

And this is what you do.

I have to say that some things are best done in private, using a tele-transporter is one of them! Otherwise you will be ridiculed by whoever catches you at it - the transporting, that is.

You write out something like the following on a sheet of paper or card:

"Bring me jewels beyond description. Bring me diamonds, rubies and emeralds. May they come to me from the invisible world. Bring me necklaces, bracelets, brooches, made of gold and valuable stones. In the name of creation I direct the invisible forces to fulfil my request. In the beginning was the Word."

Now look through the widest end of the funnel and read the words, preferably aloud, that you have written.

You can, of course, use your own wording - and for absolutely anything. I remember the book said that the tele-transporter was like a magnifying glass and would concentrate the words at speed to the invisible world.

Okay, I felt a bit stupid doing this, but I gave it a try.

Believe this as you will, but the very next day I found the two objects, as at the top of this post. Both had jewels and were definitely 'beyond description' as I have no idea what they are.

It looked like my tele-transporter was working. I therefore gave it another go. That weekend I went to visit my mother and by 'coincidence' she decided to give me my grandad's old fashioned gold and silver tie pins.

Again the tele-transporter seemed to work.

I tried a couple more times and nothing happened, perhaps my belief had dwindled. I then forgot all about this until I came across the two jewelled objects in a box.

Nowadays I probably wouldn't try such a thing as the tele-transporter - though I believe fully in visualisation. And really that is what the tele-transporter is - visualisation dressed up in a new hat.

The power behind such things is there and does work. If you say it doesn't it's because you haven't tried - go on, I dare you to make a tele-transporter!

The Monkey Proves That We See What We Need To See

PG Tips monkey

We see what we want or need to see. Take the PG Tips Monkey for example.

Being English I do enjoy my cup of tea and one of the brands we often buy is PG Tips.

I associate this tea with their television ads involving a monkey. Not a real monkey - though in less informed times they did use live monkeys - but a knitted toy. There he is, in all his glory, in the photo above.

About a week ago our daughter-in-law gave Karin a bundle of knitted bits. It turned out they were parts of a PG Tips Monkey. It had been like this for ages as somehow she was unable to finish off making the toy, the instructions aren't very clear. So she asked Karin if she would have an attempt.

PG Tips Monkey in pieces

Karin likes a challenge but thought it would be easier if she could see an actual monkey that had been completed. But where could we find such a creature? They are not exactly roaming the valley where we live.

The next day we set off for a morning walk from our house and towards the end of our road was a van parked, delivering something or other. And sitting in the front window of the van was a PG Tips Monkey!

So lots of peering in through the window. Goodness knows what anyone would have thought if they had spotted us.

"What a coincidence seeing the monkey," said Karin as we continued on our way.

We passed a row of small terraced cottages and hanging in the window was - another Monkey just hanging limply by his arms. We thought we had better not peer in through their window!

"We are bound to see a third," I said, but no more were spotted hiding in the undergrowth or anywhere else for that matter.

That afternoon we headed to Truro City, about 15 miles from where we live. After doing what we had to do in town we walked into a charity shop to have a nose round. It was then that we spotted something looking at us. Yes, there he was, a fully formed PG knitted Monkey wearing a white T-shirt. He was quite tame so Karin was able to have a good look at his, erm, bits and pieces.

So that was our third monkey and that's what happens in life.

PG MonkeyOnce we send out strong thoughts about anything at all whatever it is will come into view. If, for example, you've ever talked to someone about a specific make of car I bet you'll see several in the next few days. It's the way of the world.

Of course the monkeys, cars or whatever may well have been there all along but get filtered out, otherwise we would overload our brains / minds with too much trivia. Once we concentrate on something the filters are switched off and whatever it is will come about. It has to, if the matrix created isn't destroyed.

We really do see what we want or need to see. This sounds simplistic but I believe it to be true. Visualise, send out a wish / request / need and forget about it. The result will follow especially if mixed with a pinch of belief - always a magical ingredient!

Now, it must be time for tea!

The Secret Butterfly Visualisation

Visualisation secret

I thought I'd publish this review of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne which I saw recently. Personally I don't think the book is all it's cracked up to be. It's simply regurgitated stuff slickly marketed. But, in saying that, there are truths contained within the pages. I liked the following review because it illustrates how visualisation can work. Some would say it's a coincidence story. Whatever, this is JJ's story from Germany.

I had used The Secret on and off, but in June of 2010 I needed a boost! I was in the 'down, everything falling apart' phase and needed hope desperately. So I decided to try out something that I thought would be impossible with the visualization principle.

In the north of Germany, where I have lived for the last three years, I had always seen just tiny lemon yellow butterflies. I decided to visualize a big 5 cm (2.5") long red butterfly with black borders. I visualized for a week, every evening when I returned from work: My dream butterfly on the little shrubs outside the porch. Then I forgot about it.

I was invited to the North Sea by a friend and we were to cross over to an island at low tide. We were a group of 25-30 people. It was a 10 km walk through the wet sand. 5 km in and I look up and a couple of butterflies came right up into my face. As they danced around and passed by, the friend of my friend said, "They are from the island. It's like they were attracted to you! They came just to you" (She hadn’t the faintest idea of The Secret.)

That’s when I realized what their colour and size had been… perfect! And so many of them! At that moment I was 5 km away from both the shores and at a wide distance from the water that would fill up the space we were standing on in the next three hours.

From then on, I never ceased believing that I am in charge of my own life and since then have created and received all that I've wanted.
